[Release] vel.blast()
Ookay, as my promise, vel.blast() is released!
Control a gunless ship. Evade thousands of enemies’ bullets. Use Energy shield that can absorb and repel their projectiles to destroy themselves. Endure endless enemy waves and see how far can you go. Try to progress further with upgrades and achievements!
It is an enhanced version of my another game, vel.shock(a).
What’s with the weird title? Well, in the game’s mechanic, programming side, if you release your left mouse button, the game will call a function called vel.blast() which will blast your shield. So actually, the game is spamming a vel.blast() function, so i decided to make a title based of that function. Strange huh? XD
As for the visual theme, i’d like something abstract, stylish, computer simulation-esque graphics over the “realist” type. 2 colors (black and white) sprites for player’s ship and enemies, colorful bullets, and a flight in clouds and blue skies. (That was what i told to the artist azrael, and i’d say he did a good job on that).
For the sound division, i made “flying” digital bgms for this game. A calm one which played in the menu screen, and a beaty, rather cheerful one played in the game (both will be released individually later). The Voice was really made from text-to-speech program, with a little touchup to make an Artificial, robotic feel.
Well, enough for the chit-chat, play the game here!
